I have often marvelled at just how little is accomplished during people's time spent at the gym in pursuit of a healthier lifestyle. It is great that they are making the effort, however, in many instances people spend excessive amounts of time with diminished and disappointing results.
 
Move like you Train...Train like you Move. The body is meant to move and function as a chain, so it makes sense to train it that way. Picking up your child or carrying groceries, shovelling snow, your golf swing, gardening...all compound movements existing day-to-day. To conduct these activities safely, you require stability, balance, coordination, and strength. This is where the ‘functional’ part of functional training comes in.  Functional Training is the most effective means of providing a holistic approach to training your body in a meaningful, 'real-world' manner.
 
Whether by appointment in-studio or a virtual session, I factor in the needs of my personal training clients and provide an individual program so they can feel the benefits from each session and get closer to reaching their goals.
